The owners are really friendly, and the rooms are furnished with style. It's a rustic cabin in a lovely spot, with the basics covered except for an oven. Driving to the Möselbahn railway involves a tricky turn.

The owners made us feel at home right away, and the setting is hard to beat, with beautiful views and hiking trails starting just outside. The Simonhütte was spotless and clearly very well maintained. We had a wonderful stay, felt completely comfortable, and would happily return. Highly recommended!
The owners were lovely hosts and even helped us put on our snow chains for the first time. It's a quiet spot, only 1 km from the nearest gondola to the ski area. The cabin was clean and modern while keeping its rustic Tyrolean feel. We especially liked having two toilets and two showers, plus a living room with a fireplace. Bring snow chains in winter. We had a perfect holiday and felt right at home.
We had a wonderful, relaxing time here. We were warmly welcomed and offered a schnapps to start the weekend. The cabin comfortably suited our group of four couples, with five double bedrooms: two very spacious, two with sloping ceilings but plenty of room, and one smaller but perfectly adequate. There was ample parking in front and beside the cabin, plus a large kitchen, pantry, ski room, and cozy living area with a wood-burning stove. It also has two new separate showers, a toilet on each floor, a grill, covered terrace area, and a well.
On my second stay here, I can still recommend this cabin to anyone seeking peace, natural scenery, and a great view. The host family are welcoming and make you feel at home. They left us a bottle of their fruit and seed liqueur as a welcome gift, and the different varieties, including apricot, blueberry, pear, and stone pine, are well worth trying. Set on the Hochschwendberg at 1,500 meters, the hut stands apart from other buildings among meadows and forests, with a fantastic view of the Ahornspitz. The panorama is stunning, especially by the fountain as its water trickles. There's a cowshed a few minutes' walk away where you can serve yourself fresh milk and leave money for the farmer. The hut's long history as accommodation in the Zillertal Valley gives it an authentic feel. It's spacious enough for up to 13 guests, with beautifully furnished rooms.
