Almdorf Hohentauern by ALPS RESORTS

The chalet was beautiful and clean, with great amenities, and being near the ski slopes worked especially well for the children. We had a wonderful stay two weeks ago. Our €350 deposit still hasn’t been returned, though, even after two weeks. Nothing was damaged, and we left the place as we found it.

We had a lovely five days with our family, and the place itself is beautiful. The dispute came after we left: the owners emailed to say we had broken a bathroom mirror, which we hadn’t. We were careful and cleaned everything before leaving. We asked them to send photos of the damage, but they wouldn’t. They’re still insisting we’re responsible without showing us any proof, despite our attempts to sort it out with them. It’s very disappointing that things ended this way. I’m leaving this here for future international guests.

The owners really stood out for their customer service, and we appreciated that the chalet welcomed dogs. It was also just a five-minute walk to the ski piste, with a breathtaking view of it from the chalet. We stayed at ALPS RESORTS in Hohentauern from February 15th to 22nd, and had a fantastic time with the family. The kitchen was large and well equipped, the living room felt both cozy and spacious, and the sauna and jacuzzi were great after skiing. The chalet had everything we could have wanted. We’d highly recommend it for an alpine family getaway.

A booking error through Booking com could have disrupted our long weekend, but the receptionist was really helpful and found a good solution. We were able to stay at the park and enjoy our time there.
