The area is beautiful, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful, making my stay really enjoyable. The hotel itself is simple and basic, but these hosts made me feel right at home.

Marcus runs the hotel and is friendly and extremely efficient. It’s an independently owned, locally run place in a charming Austrian town, about a five-minute walk from a gondola into the SkiWelt ski area. It has an authentic feel, with Austrian food, and operates on a half-board basis, breakfast and dinner. There’s a heated ski boot room with racks for boots and skis, and most rooms have a balcony. The hotel also has a sauna and steam room. Breakfast is self-service, with cereal, bread and jams, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, tea and coffee. Dinner is four courses: soup of the day, a self-service salad, the main dish of the day and dessert. The main has vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Drinks are very reasonably priced. I thought the Austrian red and white house wines were quite good, and the local schnapps is worth trying. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I ski in SkiWelt.

We’re staying here for the first time, but it won’t be our last. Markus is one of the friendliest hosts you could meet and is always ready to help. The food is traditional Austrian, with three courses each evening, just what you need after a full day of skiing. For an awesome ski week in an authentic Austrian hotel, stay here!

I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid, and it’s always fantastic. The owner Markus is wonderfully hospitable. Rooms are cleaned daily, there are two dinner menus to choose from, and it’s only a short walk to the lifts. I’d recommend it.
