The owners were really friendly, and the showers and toilets were very clean. It’s a fantastic campsite. I’d gladly come back.

It’s very quiet at this small, charming campsite on the edge of Illmitz. The pitches are shady, and the sanitary facilities are kept in great shape.

The help we received from Mr. Strommer will stay with us for a long time. On Good Friday, the two of us set out by bike from the Strommer campsite in Illmitz, heading through Pamhagen and Hungary toward Mörbisch. It started raining halfway, and by the time we reached the ferry we were soaked. The last ferry had already gone, so we called Mr. Strommer for help. He came over in his electric boat and took us to Illmitz, while his son collected our bikes with a car trailer. We’re so grateful for their kindness. Ludger and Elisabeth Wiesmann-Wolters.

The room was large, clean, and very well kept, and the hosts were friendly and gave us helpful tips for activities and restaurants. We had a lovely weekend and would be glad to come back.
