2/10
The hotel felt old and dated, and I found the furniture ugly. The bathroom is inside the room with only a glass wall between it and the rest of the space. We stayed four nights, but fresh baked goods appeared only on the last day. Breakfast was very basic and the same every day, and the coffee was terrible. It was meant to run from 7 to 10, yet staff began clearing things away before 9. When we came down then, they made us feel unwelcome. One waitress was kind, perhaps overly so, but she flirted with my husband in front of me and our two children and said inappropriate things. I felt I had no choice but to get up and leave the table. There were two other issues that were our own fault, since we booked in a rush and didn't read all the information carefully: no crib was available, and there was no air conditioning. We left the balcony door open, but the road was a little noisy.

The hotel and staff were wonderful. It feels cozy, almost like being at home.

I had a lovely room across from a burbling creek, and there was bike parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful, though the food was average.
