Blackhome City South Innsbruck

We stayed several nights and would come back to Blackhome. The room was clean and comfortable, with a small kitchenette where we made most of our meals. It was a bit small, and there wasn't enough luggage space for two adults. A couple of luggage racks would help. Still, the balcony overlooking the river was nice. At first we couldn't get into our room, but the remote staff and another traveler helped us enter the building. After that, everything went smoothly. The hotel is beside a bus stop, and the K bus runs often into central Innsbruck. We paid about $165 a night, which felt reasonable. We had a great stay and would definitely return to this fantastic city.

The room smelled unbearably of smoke and trash, and it hadn't been cleaned. There were still lots of cigarettes in the ashtray. Some smell might have been manageable, but this was far too much. They had clearly been smoking inside. The front desk girl said she'd noticed it when she came in earlier, but did nothing. They refused to move us. They only took away the trash and sprayed “smell remover” twice, which did absolutely nothing. The staff are particular and not very helpful.

We were on a cycle tour across Europe and picked this hotel for its lockable bike store and closeness to the centre. The room was modern and spacious, with a little kitchen, separate seating area, flat screen TV, coffee machine, and a small balcony. There were toiletries and a hairdryer in the bathroom, and we slept well in the comfortable room. Breakfast arrived at 8am, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Check-in is by screen, but reception staff will help if you get stuck. We had a nice stay and highly recommend it.

The river flows right beside this place, and it's 1.5 km from Innsbruck Railway station. Parking is available. The contemporary interiors and design are very good, and the accommodation has modern amenities. The staff were cordial and friendly.
