Pension Schipflinger Itter

The only small drawback was the bathroom, which felt a bit cramped. Otherwise, the rooms were spotless, the beds comfortable, and breakfast was thoughtfully prepared, with fresh cake every other day. There's space in the basement to dry ski gear, plus a boot dryer. We stayed with the Schipflinger family in March 2019. Our booking changed from four couples to three at short notice, and the cancellation was handled easily with no extra charge. Many thanks to the Schipflinger family, we'll definitely come back.

We rented three double rooms at the Schipflinger family's house for five days in February 2025. Each room has a wraparound balcony with an unobstructed view, and there's ski storage. The rooms are very comfortable, with a TV, double bed, wardrobe, table, and chair. The bathrooms are small but fine for one person, with a toilet, shower, sink, and mirror. Breakfast is fresh and outstanding, and you can watch live webcams from Hohe Salve mountain in the breakfast room. There's parking in front of the house, and the ski bus to the Salvista cable car stops 25 meters away. The cable car is a four-minute walk, on the left side of the exterior photo by the bench. A gas station, supermarket, and restaurants are 200-500 meters away. Pets may be allowed, but ask first. The price is hard to beat for what you get.

The large balcony had a breathtaking view, and we slept well in a comfortable bed. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the owner was kind and went out of their way to meet our wishes. It's a fantastic, very family- and child-friendly place. The bathroom is small, though. Apart from that, highly recommended.

The area was perfect, and the hosts were nice, but I wouldn't return because of the tiny bathroom. It had a sliding door, and after showering there was barely enough room to wrap a towel around yourself. Breakfast was only okay, served as a plate of cold cuts and cheese. I ate at the buffet at Tiroler Sport Hotel twice and highly recommend it. If you can afford it, you'd certainly be well accommodated as a surprise guest.
