Das Kaltenbach

This hotel worked wonderfully for an active family holiday, with a touch of luxury. The facilities were excellent and the service outstanding. Everything had been thought through in advance, which made our family’s stay easy and relaxing. Highly recommended!

The family facilities are fantastic, and the ski lockers are very convenient. But this was our second visit, and we’d hoped for a relaxing room like the one we had last time. We booked a comfort room supposed to have a Zillertal view well in advance, but were given room 106 in the farthest corner of the building. It looks onto a mountain slope instead, and sits right above a noisy heating unit that can be heard constantly inside. When we raised this with reception, they said it was unfortunate but the hotel was fully booked and they couldn’t move us. It seemed we’d been given one of the least attractive rooms despite booking early.

We had a perfect apartment for our needs, with a large balcony. The freshly cooked breakfast was the best we’ve ever had at a hotel, with wonderful pastries and plenty of other choices. The staff were friendly, discreet, and helpful, and the Sky spa was amazing, with indoor and outdoor pools and a beautiful relaxation garden. Das Kaltenbach is a beautiful hotel in a scenic valley, with everything you could want for a relaxing stay. We can’t wait to go back!

The location is great, close to the slopes, and having the locker room right by the elevator made things easy. We were a family of four on an eight-day holiday and had a great time. The rooms were excellent, spacious, and well equipped. The hotel has great facilities, including four types of saunas and fun video game rooms for the kids. We all enjoyed the pool’s outdoor area. Breakfast was average for the price per day. There’s no dinner, so you’ll need to book restaurants in the area in advance and drive there. We highly recommend the place.
