We spent 10 days in Kappl in August, and I'd love to return next year. The apartment exceeded what we expected. Ours was on the third floor, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms with toilets, plus a hall, kitchen with dishwasher, oven and microwave, and a large balcony that stayed sunny all day. From there we looked out over typical Austrian hills, a road, a creek, and the neighboring hotel and apartments. The owners were kind and helpful throughout. Dogs are welcome, and they have one too. The whole house was very clean and had distinctive decor, and we could park right in front. The weather was mostly sunny with just a few showers. The air felt fresh, and I'd recommend the area to people with breathing problems, illnesses, or allergies such as asthma. My cough stopped after three days. There are lovely walks in nature for families or anyone with a dog. Getting around is easy by bus, motorbike, car, or on foot. The Silvretta card costs 2.50€ per day and includes things like buses, museums, cable cars, some pools, and spa access. Buses were punctual and came every 15-20 minutes, according to the SmartRide app. Dogs can travel on buses and cable cars too. M Preis, Spar, and Billa have a good range of food and other items at fairly reasonable prices, though some things like alcohol, ice cream, and souvenirs are expensive. Vegan and vegetarian visitors can manage too. We visited Stausee, a large dam and reservoir with beautiful nature around it and worthwhile hiking and panoramic views. In Ischgl, the 24-person Silvrettabahn cable car took us to beautiful mountain scenery at 2300 metres above sea level. Bring proper sports or hiking gear if you plan to walk. Bergbahnen Kappl goes up to 1830 metres, where Sunny Mountain park has slides, a trampoline, a motor skills park, a lake, and a grilling spot. We also visited Kappl, Ischgl, Galtür, and the Alpinarium museum in Galtür. Auf wiedersehen! 👋

Very poor accommodation.

I found this place for a spontaneous weekend ski trip to Ischgl, and was lucky to do so. It's a lovely house with very friendly hosts, and I felt at home right away. Everything was clean and well looked after. They also have a ski boot warmer and somewhere to store skis. Highly recommended!
