Chalet Sonneck

We’ve had two lovely Christmases in this house with family and friends. The owners were great hosts, and Kathi and the team made us feel welcome. Both years we bought a Christmas tree from a nearby florist, and the owners left us a box of ornaments. We added a few ornaments made by our kids last year and got to use them again this year. You might find them in the box if you stay next Christmas! Kaprun is a fantastic place for a ski holiday, and the house is a great base. The grocery store and lifts are both a short walk away, and the house has what you need for simple cooking and comfortable living.

The house was perfectly clean, and the manager Jana was wonderful and friendly. A great place for a holiday, I’d recommend it 10/10!

In the five-room apartment, the rooms are an average size, neither large nor small. Only one room has its own bathroom. In the others, there’s a sink and shower, with just two bathrooms shared outside the rooms. The apartment was very dirty, the bedding was dirty, and there were insects throughout the rooms, in every corner. I don’t recommend staying here at all.

The apartment is old, and the two apartments share facilities. Parking is a long way from the apartment. If you’re carrying furniture, you’ll need to take it up more than one flight of stairs.
