The house is in a peaceful spot at the end of a road, with a lovely architectural look, room for up to five people and parking right outside. A few essential repairs were done quickly, but the place feels like it has seen very little upkeep over the last decade. The online photos seem to show it when it was new. Furniture is stained and worn, and the outside looks shabby. There were problems as soon as we arrived: the fridge light was out, the extractor only partly worked, the shower was broken and the bathroom door squeaked. The light, shower and door were fixed, but the hood remained an issue. Heating didn't work, and the dishwasher took a lot of coaxing to run. Garbage sat outside all week because the collector didn't take it. For an €80 cleaning charge, the house was surprisingly dirty, with dust and stains in cupboards, on floors and carpets, and the kitchen drawers and utensils needed another wash. The rooms generally looked poorly cared for. I doubt that cleaning fee is reaching the cleaners. Worst of all, some pillows had large sweat and blood marks, and so did some duvets. We couldn't get replacement pillows, though we found four duvets that were at least halfway decent. Little seems to be invested here, while plenty is being charged. Avoid!
