Our family of six stayed at Hotel Metzgerwirt during February half term 2026. It’s family-run, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is well placed, with a short bus ride in either direction to the main ski area. It was handy being able to buy lift passes there, and we got our ski hire from the local shop a couple of minutes away, much cheaper than booking through the tour operator. The rooms and beds were comfortable, and the food was excellent, including the afternoon tea and cake served daily. Having self-service tea in a proper pot was a real treat. We hope to come back.

My family has made the Metzgerwirt our yearly stay, and it’s our favourite hotel in the area even after trying some of the fancier places. The staff are kind and welcoming, and it has a very family-focused feel. The rooms are lovely, with comfortable seating areas and nice bathrooms, and they’re spotless. Food is exceptional. We have both meat eaters and vegetarians in the family, and every dish we’ve tried has been excellent. The dining room is quaint, with traditional Austrian decor.

I was here for a ski trip to Kitzski, and the hotel gets five stars from me across the board. The staff were exceptional, and they give you a voucher for a schnapps at the bar. It’s brilliantly located, within walking distance of everything in Kirchberg, and there’s parking too. Breakfast is a deluxe buffet, great before a long day on the slopes. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
