We were two adults with two young children, and the layout gave our family plenty of privacy. The bedrooms and bathrooms are split between the two sides of the kitchen and living room, and each side has a roomy, sunny balcony with seating. Hostess Eva Steinwender was incredibly friendly and gave us all the help we needed. The apartment was very clean, with excellent beds, towels, and linens, and the kitchen had a good electric stove, quality pans, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, and good crockery and utensils. There’s parking, room for ski gear, and snow was cleared thoroughly after it fell. We stayed during Carnival week 2026. In the village there’s a good restaurant, two SPAR supermarkets, and a bakery. The youngest kids can go to Jappy, the village ski school, where they’re well looked after. St. Johann is a 10-minute drive away for skiing or sunbathing up the mountain. We’d love to book again next year.

The cottage was good in other respects, but the bedding was too soft and too small.
