T3 Gasthof Spullersee

Breakfast had lots to choose from, and the rolls were still warm and really fresh. Our room was quite large, with a bathtub in the bathroom, and the bed and pillow were just right, neither too hard nor too soft. The friendly staff explained everything patiently and thoroughly, and check-in and check-out went smoothly.

The room was nice and had a great view, but the bar experience was strange. We had just sat down with a room full of people relaxing, with no shouting or bad behavior, when the bartender came over at 9 PM and said we had to leave because the owner had told him to close. He'd earlier said the bar stayed open until 10 PM. We all had to go to reception or back to our rooms. There are no fridges in the rooms either. I assume other places in these villages have the same view, so I can't recommend this one.

We came just before the busy season, when the chef was offering a limited menu of fresh, local ingredients and traditional regional dishes. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the service was exceptional. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I'm still a little unsure whether I was meant to sit or stand in the bath, but it all came out in the wash. Special thanks to Tomas for translating for us!

Lovely bar and dining room staff, and the location is beautiful. In my room, room 3, the bed and bathroom were clean, but the floor looked as if it hadn't been vacuumed or swept in ages. The walls were quite marked and badly needed painting, and there were lots of cobwebs. The shower dispenser was empty, and the handbasin dispenser was missing.
