The mountain and village views from the hilltop guesthouse were wonderful, and the place was clean, with a pretty garden and balconies. Drinks were available on an honor system: mark down what you had and settle up at the end. There was a good range of water, lemonade, wine, and beer. I booked an apartment after calling in May 2021 and getting clear details about prices, location, and room options. I rang again on arrival day to confirm, and everything was in order. Lena, who runs the guesthouse with her family, welcomed me, helped with my bags, and showed me the room. George, Lena’s husband, welcomed me later that evening. They arranged bread and coffee each morning, sorted out my COVID tests, and made sure the room was cleaned. Lena and her family take real pride in looking after guests. Ask them if you need information about the area. They’re very cool in my book. I’m originally from Dublin, Ireland, lived in the United States for over Thirty Four Years, and traveled all over the world with the United States Marines. I know a great hotel or guesthouse from those experiences. Guest House Sonnleit Rooms &Apartments gets Five Stars and more. You won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely return in the near future. I can’t think of anywhere else to stay in Kössen!

They even clear the snow off your car in the morning and bring freshly baked goods from the local bakery. The hosts quietly take care of the details, and the apartments are clean and wonderful. I’ve stayed here three times now, and it really feels like a home away from home, whether I’m on vacation or traveling for work.

The big balcony was lovely, and the place was really clean. Such a friendly host, too. I love staying here, it feels like home. 😊😘😘
