Fit und Fun Sportherberge

The trip itself was okay, nothing special. There was no playing around or fun, just paddling as hard as you could. We had to carry the boat for 100 metres in the middle, then another 150 metres at the end, even though there was a boat ramp and four young guys sitting around at the camp. The whole thing felt rushed, like everyone just wanted to get paid and finish as quickly as possible. This wasn’t a good experience for our family with three kids. We’d made it clear when booking that we don’t speak German, but the guide didn’t speak English. I had to pump up the boat quite a bit before we set off because the guide was out of breath. Please get an electric SUP pump. The driver didn’t help carry the boat either. Then we had to sit through a 20 minute briefing in 30 degree heat and direct sun, wearing wetsuits and life vests, even though there was shade where we’d parked. I thought the kids might pass out. There was no water, nowhere to store a camera, and no sense that the kids needed to cool off.

We’ve come back several times now. It’s a great spot for larger groups and multiple families.

The staff were really friendly, and everything else was fine. The rooms felt a little old fashioned, though, and the shower was very small.

Good value for the money, with clean rooms. A good place for groups. No towels :)
