Boutique Hotel im Auracher Löchl

The room's sound insulation was poor. With the windows shut, I could clearly hear people talking loudly as they walked along the river path below. The electric blinds were all or nothing, leaving us with either natural light or total darkness, and there was no linen curtain for softer light and privacy. We stayed in the inn suite, supposedly one of their best rooms. It looked modern and attractive, but had flaws I wouldn't expect in a proper hotel. The bed was dirty before we'd even used it the first night, with random hairs and flakes. I also saw small red-brown dots and can only hope they weren't bedbugs. After seeing beneath the fake luxury boutique look, I wouldn't be surprised. The linen was worn and pilling, the fitted sheet was awful, a cotton-polyester mix, and each person got just one cheap, flattened polyester-filled pillow. The mattress sagged too. For 250 euros a night, the bathroom basics were bare bones: the same 2-in-1 shampoo and soap, with no conditioner. The fridge was broken. They advertise a Samsung HDTV, but it was a cheap set with terrible image quality, especially when I connected my phone by HDMI. That really showed how awful the colors were. Unfortunately, I can't give this hotel more than one star. It's the fakest four-star hotel I've stayed in.
