The compulsory breakfast was overpriced, and the location shown on Google Maps is inaccurate; you need to walk five minutes along the main road to reach the ski resort. Brueckerhuette is greatly overpriced, and the website photos don't show what it's really like. Rooms are crammed with as many beds as possible, leaving hardly any room for luggage. There are three toilets and one shower for about 30 beds, and the kitchen is tiny. Some rooms are in the attic, three flights up from the entrance, with the last flight very steep. The overall condition is shabby.

We were relieved to be there for only three nights. The cabin was dirty and unhygienic, with everything from unwashed breakfast dishes to filthy floors. The furniture had a greasy layer, and parts of the floor were completely sticky. The owners weren't there when we arrived or left and showed no concern for guests. The breakfast platter was the only thing that was halfway okay, but it was set out in the morning and left unrefrigerated if you didn't want to eat at 7 a.m. The butter was running off it. For the price, this was absolutely unfair. Uncaring, impersonal, and unclean. I've never written a review before, but this had to be said.

The house has a strong cigarette smell, unfortunately because of the owners. Other than that, everything was fine. They're helpful and kind.

The cigarette smell was overpowering, and there was dog hair everywhere. The food was expired, and cleanliness was nonexistent.

It looks like nothing has been done to the place in thirty years, and the quality doesn't justify the price. We made the best of it.
