Schnatterhof

We ended up with about 30% of our money back, and the whole thing spoiled our holiday. We were six friends from the Netherlands, Germany, France and India, three couples, who had planned a few days away over New Year the year before. After paying, we arrived to find there was no private space as described, and the photos had shown double beds. Instead, six mattresses had been put in a downstairs room, including one private room, and it was being rented to six or seven people. A few other rooms were locked, apparently to rent out to more guests using the same trick. When we pointed out the mismatch and asked for another room or a refund, the staff were impolite and unfriendly. They didn't apologise. We felt attacked, and they shouted at the international women in our group. At that point, stranded in the middle of nowhere with the stay already paid for, we couldn't undo it. It felt dishonest, and I believe other people may have been caught out too. Don't rely on the photos or descriptions. They differ from website to website, including Hometogo, Google photos and Booking. Compare them and you'll see something seems wrong. Don't waste your time and money.
