Nice, clean, and functional.

We loved the peaceful farm setting and the clean apartment had everything we needed, including a sauna. You can relax on the terrace or take a nice walk beside the nearby stream. Groceries and restaurants are just five minutes away, and our favorite place to eat was Måhlzeit Restaurant, with very good food at reasonable prices. It's easy to reach by car, about 12 minutes from Solden.

We spent a week skiing at Falkneralm Holiday Apartment #202. There's a lot to like, though several parts of the stay need improvement. One of the biggest frustrations was communication. Our travel documents said the keys would be handed over at the apartment, but we had to ask a neighbor to learn that pickup was at reception in another building about 2 km away. The correct instructions should have been in the documents or posted on the front door, especially since the error was apparently already known. Neither of the two phone numbers we were given answered when we arrived. We also weren't told until we asked that the apartment Wi-Fi was broken, and nobody offered advice or a fix. We would have raised this at checkout, but reception was unattended when we left and no one picked up the numbers posted on the reception door. The apartment itself is bright, roomy enough, and well suited to two people, in a lovely quiet area outside town. There is good storage for luggage and plenty of hooks for clothes, plus a small balcony. The kitchen has a two-burner stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, dishwasher, plenty of dishes, and cooking utensils. We also appreciated the private infrared sauna after skiing and the heated ski room in the building. The ski bus stop is about a 10-minute walk away, with frequent buses. Getting to Sölden takes around 15-20 minutes, which worked well. The spa is also 2 km away in another building, something we would have liked to know beforehand. It has a pool, which was rather cold, an infrared cabin, a steam room, and two saunas. Only one sauna was working during our stay, so there were waits on some evenings. Official hours were 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM, but around 7:15 PM the power was shut off completely, lights included. We were suddenly left in the dark, even in the shower. Saving energy makes sense, but leaving the lights on a little longer would have helped. It's a generally lovely, well-equipped holiday apartment with plenty of potential. Better organization, clearer communication, and a little more customer service would make the stay much more enjoyable.

We found the hostess very friendly, and the holiday apartment was lovely. The beds were made when we arrived, with lots of towels in the bathroom. It has an infrared sauna and dogs are allowed. We missed having an oven, toaster, and kettle, so that's why it gets four stars instead of five. We'd gladly come back. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.
