The place was clean and very affordable, with lots of room across several floors. There are several bedrooms, some with showers and sinks, shared toilets on each floor, and a cozy living room with a tiled stove. Still, it feels like little has been done to the house for 50 years. The furniture and fittings are ancient, so don't expect much luxury. It's a good fit for larger groups, clubs, men's trips or short breaks, but I wouldn't really recommend it for a romantic getaway or a family vacation.

We were 13 people, and the three-floor chalet gave us plenty of room for a group holiday. It's clean and very rustic, with a 1970s-80s feel. Upstairs are three large bedrooms with showers and a toilet. The middle floor has five double bedrooms, one with an extra single bed, plus a shower and toilet. Downstairs are the kitchen, dining room, a shower, two toilets, a storage room and the rubbish area. We used the wood-burning stove, which worked very well. Heating and electricity are charged at the end of the stay. This isn't the place for anyone after a high-end experience.

The house is heated with electricity and wood, and the extra charge for our week came to 220 euros. There's no ski storage or boot heaters, and the electric heaters in the rooms made it hard to sleep well. For an agritourism stay, it's below average. The price may fit the condition, but you can find better deals in Langenfeld.

The view from the window is beautiful, and there are lots of hiking trails nearby. The dining room is cozy too. For a larger group, the house is fairly comfortable and good value, though it won't suit anyone looking for chic decor or high comfort. There's a barn next door, so you may sometimes notice the smell. With a few shortcomings, it's still a reasonable way to save money and enjoy a simpler stay.
