Haus Thomas by Châtel Reizen

We were really glad to find this place. It was just what we wanted: a reasonably priced hotel with a breakfast buffet, right by the ski bus stop. Sölden is only 10 minutes away. Our hosts were a lovely Dutch couple, though I understand the hosts can change from one winter season to the next. They were so nice and made us feel very welcome. I especially liked the afternoon "Jause" in the common lounge, with homemade muffins, coffee, tea, Skiwasser, and beer. The beer cost extra, but everything else was free. It was much nicer than sitting in the hotel room, and the lounge also had toys and puzzles for the kids. There's no sauna, which I missed a little, though I can't expect one at that price. We used the sauna at the pool in Sölden instead. The Aqua Dome in Längenfeld looked nice too, but very expensive.

A chill place.

The location worked perfectly for trips around the area, with the bus right outside. Drinks were reasonably priced too, which added to the relaxed feel. Daan and Eva were genuinely welcoming and made us feel at home from the start. The breakfast was generous and thoughtfully prepared, and the Mexican evening was cozy, tasty, and enjoyed by everyone. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom was a little dated and could use renovation, but it didn't spoil our stay. For my birthday, Daan and Eva made a homemade cake and decorated the house with streamers. That personal touch made the holiday extra special and unforgettable.

Eva and Daan looked after us really well during our stay in Sölden, with plenty to eat and drink and clean rooms. It was great to have the rooms serviced every day. They were organized and offered useful tips whenever we needed them. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it.
