PROFITEERS! We couldn't get back to our hotel in Solden after hiking in the region because of the mudslide in Huben on July 13, 2021. Our family found us a room here, and we arrived soaked and cold to register before going to dinner in Imst. On the drive back, we saw that the road had opened at 22, earlier than our hotel and the authorities had said, so we were able to return to Solden. The next day we went back to Hotel Garni Liesl to pay part of the booking. When I explained that we hadn't slept there and didn't need breakfast because we'd eaten in Solden, they charged the full 141€, including breakfast. They hadn't had to clean the room or use linen, electricity, water, food, or anything, yet still claimed the full amount. We paid, but we'll definitely avoid this place in future. A shame!

The owners are really nice, and the Liesl is somewhere we'd happily return to. Breakfast had everything we wanted, and the bus stop is just a two-minute walk away. They were incredibly welcoming to dogs, with blankets, bowls, and treats provided. The sauna, steam room, and infrared cabin are lovely for relaxing. We highly recommend it.

The rooms are clean and spacious, and breakfast is first-class, with a buffet that leaves nothing to want. The owners add a personal touch, like in a private guesthouse, with a quick chat at breakfast or when you arrive, while still offering a few more hotel amenities.

You can walk to the shops, bars, and bus stop in about five minutes, and the Aqua House is nearby too. Right in the city center, the hotel feels cozy, clean, and comfortable, and the food is excellent. Use of the sauna is included in the price. I did lose a gold chain with a pendant there, though, and they never found it, which is a shame.
