We stopped at the hotel and restaurant while waiting for our bus to the station. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making sure we caught the right bus and reached the station on time. We had a glass of wine each, and both tasted really nice. It's a cozy, homely place, and a warm, welcoming spot to wait before a journey.

I’ve stayed at Hotel Zum Hirschen many times and always love coming back. The beds are comfortable, the food is delicious, and the partnership with the Aquadome is a wonderful extra that’s well worth experiencing. I’d happily recommend it.

The staff were really friendly and accommodating, though there didn’t seem to be enough of them for the size of the place. We were turned away despite lots of empty tables, so book ahead if you want to eat here. We also had better luck making requests directly to the waitstaff than to the person clearing dishes. We couldn’t get a table on Thursday, but were glad we returned. Pork knuckle is only available that day, and our group was lucky to reserve the last one for takeaway. We enjoyed the grostl, cordon bleu, and Saturday’s fish, though the fries with the cordon bleu were undercooked. The dessert of the day, ice cream with fruit salad, was lovely, and even people who don’t like raisins enjoyed the Kaiserschmarrn. Just be ready for a huge portion. We recommend the restaurant and were happy we got a table.
