Brunnenhof

We had a magical stay in the Brunnenhof Penthouse and are hoping to come back soon. The wood fireplace was easy to use and made the living area extra cosy after skiing. From the open-plan living and dining space and kitchen, the mountain views are superb. Two bedrooms and bathrooms have big skylights too, so you can look at the mountains and stars from bed or in the shower. Brunnenhof is about a 10-minute walk from the village centre, or a 3-minute ride on the ski bus that stops outside every 10 minutes. It's quieter and has better views than the centre. Lech Sportpark is just across the road, with a gym, indoor tennis, indoor climbing, and more. Schlosskopf is the nearest ski lift, about a 5-minute walk away. In winter, when there's snow, you can ski into Brunnenhof with a short turn across a meadow from the main piste. To ski out, walk about 150 metres up the path behind the house, then ski from there. The penthouse takes up the whole top floor and is huge. There were only a few of us this time, though it can sleep up to 8 adults and 2 kids in four very comfortable bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom. The finishes and furniture are high quality throughout. The well-equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar, two dishwashers, an oven, microwave, coffee machine, and everything needed for proper cooking and baking. It felt thoughtful and welcoming. The building used to be a hotel, then was renovated in 2020 and converted into 14 apartments. Everyone can use the spa, with a pool with jacuzzi bubbles and counter-current, sauna, steam room, relaxation area, and spa therapy rooms. There's also a shared bar on the ground floor. Bramble, the operator, provides concierge help, including booking restaurants. We'd stayed in apartment TOP 14 earlier this year and had a great time. I won't go into Lech or the Ski Arlberg area here, since there are plenty of other resources, but both really are top notch.
