Breakfast had a huge selection of local produce, and later in the afternoon there were homemade cakes and treats. There's also an honesty bar open day and night, plus a sauna and wet bath. The hosts were friendly and helpful. A charming family-run pension.

What makes the Familie Mathis stand out is the warm, relaxed welcome and the people. The hotel is quiet, with updated rooms and lovely views, and it's only a few minutes' walk from central Lech. The wellness center across the road is first class. I highly recommend staying here.

Haus Melitta made Lech my favorite stop on our honeymoon. We spent five nights there to ski in the Alps, and we're absolutely coming back. It's tucked away from the main drag, but restaurants and a T-bar for reaching the main lifts are both just a few minutes' walk away. The breakfast was incredible, easily 10 stars. There were several kinds of bread, yogurt, granola and muesli, smoked trout and salmon, cheeses and cold cuts, different juices, and an espresso machine. Gerdie also offered eggs every morning, cooked however you wanted. The yolks were a deep orange, so you could tell they were good. Each guest had their own table, with a welcome card and the "Morgen Post" covering local happenings, updates, and the weather. Gerdie, her husband, and their staff made the stay feel personal and hospitable, like a mountain resort with a human touch. They welcomed us with prosecco for our honeymoon, and Gerdie helped us with laundry before we left. Her husband even drove us down to the bus stop, so we didn't have to carry our bags for 15 minutes over icy, snowy, salted and gravelly sidewalks. It's the kind of charming Gast Haus experience that sticks with you.

We had an amazing stay. The owners were very friendly, and breakfast was amazing.
