The lift is just a two-minute walk away, and the frequent buses make it easy to get to Lech if needed. We thought the skiing in Zurs was the best in all of Ski Arlberg. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very clean. Breakfast and the snacks for skiers were delightful. The extensive spa was an unexpected surprise, with a steam room, sauna and more. One of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. Highly recommend staying here.

We chose this hotel and were so glad we did. Hotel Guggis delivered a quality, luxurious and authentic Austrian experience. It’s a professional, immaculately clean, family-run bed and breakfast in a perfect location for the Lech, Zurs and St Anton region. Other hotels nearby seemed either more corporate and generic, or much more expensive. The spa was a lovely surprise after a long ski day. The website photos don’t do it justice. It’s a thoughtful, clean and tranquil space. The friendly, warm, inviting staff were also very helpful. The dining rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. Breakfast and the apres snack were delicious. The rooms were spacious with great storage, quiet and had charming, discreet views away from the main road. Beds were very comfortable, and the bath had excellent water pressure and temperature. For skiing, the hotel gives access to the best terrain for all levels. Especially in the morning, it isn’t heavily trafficked. One morning after 12 inches of fresh powder, we got in four runs without seeing anyone! You won’t get that experience in Lech or St. Anton, though you can easily travel to those towns by lifts or gondolas, or take the short, frequent bus from two minutes away. There’s convenient ski storage and a boot heater too, making it essentially a ski-in ski-out experience. Seriously, stay here. It’ll exceed your expectations.

After a long day on the slopes, the wellness spa and basement ski storage were especially welcome. Guggis also made mornings a treat, with a full buffet of cold cuts, cheese, fruit and yogurt, plus eggs made to order and specialty coffee. Our room had a queen bed, separate bath and toilet, and a big desk, with a small sitting room off to the side. The large windows looked out over the Austrian Alpes. Beautiful decor throughout, and a wonderful place to stay in an Alpine ski town.
