Breakfast was very good, and the coffee was excellent. But the room we had reserved wasn't available, and no one told us in advance. We were first put in a room without a balcony. When we asked about it, the lady said we'd booked a smaller room. After we pressed the issue, the explanation changed to an accident and our room being unavailable. The replacement was smaller but had a balcony, which was fine, except the floor was heated by water pipes, in August. We also wanted to buy a nice handmade piece of clothing marked at 15 EUR. At checkout it became 25 EUR because it was a bigger size, even though it was exactly the same item. UNBELIEVABLE! How dishonest! Is this Austria?!!!

The quiet setting and lovely views made morning dog walks a pleasure, even though shops, restaurants and other conveniences were close by. We're dog owners rather than cyclists, and felt very welcome at der Tannenhof. Our comfortable room had a modern design, breakfast was excellent, and the shared spaces were thoughtfully arranged. Drinks in the guest fridge were easy to take and pay for at checkout, and late check-in went smoothly. The owners were quick and helpful with questions and requests.

The apartment was spotless and felt very welcoming, with family touches everywhere: children's books, kids' dishes, stuffed animals and a well-equipped kitchenette. The bike storage room and tools were handy too. Breakfast was generous, with a great choice of cereals and teas. I did miss fried eggs, though I could have made them in the apartment. Good value, and I'd be happy to stay again.

The rooms felt fresh and modern, and the views were stunning. It may be off the beaten path, but the trip there is worth it. Although it clearly caters to cyclists, it also worked really well for our family's few days away. Highly recommended.
