Kristiania

We stayed for seven nights in a top-floor suite, and the half-board food was good. The stay was mostly positive, but a few problems made me wonder how things had gone wrong. At checkout, the hotel couldn't find the 50 percent deposit I had paid six months earlier and gave me a bill for the full accommodation cost. I had to find the credit card record in my cloud files and show them the payment date. It took about an hour for them to retrieve their bank records and confirm the deposit. From when I started checking out, the whole process took an hour and 20 minutes. Breakfast also became backed up once more than five or six tables were being served. With too few staff, my coffee, starter, main and side dishes took an average of 40-45 minutes to arrive after I ordered at 8:10am. The chairlift starts at 8:30am, while breakfast only begins at 8am. That leaves early skiers in a real rush, even if they finish eating in 15 minutes, and the hotel isn't on the slopes. The free shuttle helps, but the trip still takes time. Without these issues, I would have rated the stay five stars.

I can't wait to come back to the Kristiania. The hotel is thoughtfully put together throughout, and the staff are professional, attentive and accommodating. Robert is especially lovable, and Ms. Schneider is glamorous, charismatic and always available to handle things with guests herself. You don't come across that kind of professionalism often.

Awful experience. The rooms feel dated, the food was mediocre, and management came across as hostile. I wouldn't stay here.

This is my favorite restaurant in Lech, and I'd happily return whenever I'm back in town. The food is delicious, there's a wide choice of excellent wines and cocktails, and the service was fantastic. Andre (from Lisbon) served us and was both friendly and very knowledgeable.
