Hotel Leonhard

The pool is amazing, and it’s a very nice hotel overall. The location is decent too. I’d stay here again on my next visit.

There’s no air-conditioning, and our balcony faced the main road. Breakfast was great, and the wellness center was good.

The warm outdoor pool was good, and the hotel is close to the ski lift. But the stay had several serious downsides. The ad said a week’s ski pass was included, and that was confirmed at check-in, yet at checkout we were charged almost 900 euros again. We were told it was our fault for not checking the Booking.com confirmation carefully enough, where the pass wasn’t listed. Make sure the confirmation matches the advertised services. The price felt significantly too high compared with nearby options. There’s a busy road about 20 meters from the hotel, right outside the windows, and a railway 200 meters away. Both are noisy. Dinner included with the stay didn’t even come with regular water, all drinks cost extra, and a bottle of water was 6 euros. On Saturdays, traffic jams on the road could hold things up for a couple of hours both when arriving and leaving.

The spa was excellent after a day on the slopes, especially the modern outdoor sauna. The hotel’s location is a real plus, about a five-minute walk from the main Gondola with easy access to the slopes. Staff were helpful with taxi bookings and restaurant advice. The food was okay, though the hotel wasn’t the cheapest. Our room was comfortable but could use a refresh or some modern upgrades. We couldn’t find a dry room and had to bring equipment into our room, though we may just have missed it. I’d definitely come back to the Leonhard.
