We had a documented reservation at Pension Oberhof with Helmut Ortner for September 4, 2023, booked more than six months before our trip. We rented a car at Munich airport and drove well out of our way to get there, only to find there was no room for us. I couldn’t get in touch with Helmut Ortner. The hotel “manager” spoke with some German speaking guests, who explained to us in English that we didn’t have a room. We had to drive for several more hours and change our whole trip plan because of what happened with Helmut Ortner. Helmut Ortner also took our money, and we still can’t reach him to get it back. Calling this a bad experience would be an understatement. It was a nightmare. I’d give it negative stars if I could. Do not stay at Pension Oberhof.

The place is beautiful and peaceful, with a magnificent view of the Lesach Valley. The accommodation is very clean, and the staff are very friendly. Many thanks to the Ortner family and Mrs. Salcher.

A lovely house with four apartments in different sizes. Andrea is the guardian angel of the place.
