We had such a great short break at the home of Alice and Rolland, and loved every minute. Their focus on organic, ecologically dynamic craft shows in all the details, while still making the stay comfortable and close to nature. Booking online was easy and confirmed reliably, and the housekeeping team even had our room ready early. The rooms use lots of wood, organic cotton, quality fabrics and natural cosmetics, with a lovely view of the nearby forest. It's wonderfully quiet apart from the occasional birdsong. We also read that the wall paint is organic and that the house has been "interference-suppressed" for extra natural comfort. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is all high-quality organic food, including cheese, ham, honey, chocolate spread, tea, cappuccino and fruit juices. The bread, cakes and rolls are homemade, and Mrs. Tauss looks after everyone with freshly cooked egg dishes. Three times a week, Tauss also offer a freshly made four-course menu inspired by the season and their homegrown vegetables. We tried it and really enjoyed the meals. We planned the trip to see where the wines we already liked came from. Mother nature, with Mr. Tauss's help, makes brave, spontaneously fermented wines that feel expressive and lively, and reflect the soil and complex Terroir. There's also a large pool that's nice for kids, a sauna, a yoga house with regular sessions, a relaxation room, and a big garden with a pond, vegetable patch and meditation areas. The nature around it is beautiful. We're grateful we got to stay here and enjoyed every moment.
