Harry's Home Lienz

The covered parking was handy after long motorcycle rides, and the staff were so friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast was outstanding, with plenty of fresh, tasty options. We also liked unwinding with a drink at the bar in the evening, with the same gorgeous outlook. Harry's Home Lienz was one of the best surprises of our trip through East Tyrol. It feels brand new after reopening in 2024, with modern, fresh, super-clean spaces and spacious rooms overlooking the mountains and city. Waking up to that scenery was a real treat. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the historic center of Lienz, so we could stroll to the old town, get a coffee, or explore without needing the motorcycle every time. Highly recommend if you're passing through or staying for a few days. It made Lienz feel even more welcoming!

The rooms were beautiful, modern, cosy, and tidy, with a stunning bathroom and very comfortable beds. We’d been promised parking after giving notice and reserving a room early, but there wasn’t a spot available for us. It would be great if the parking area were larger.

The breakfast was the best we’d had in four weeks of traveling around Germany and Austria, and the views from the breakfast room were stunning. Staff were well trained in hospitality. We also loved the top floor bar and lounge, with spectacular mountain views. For this price range, having air conditioning is a real plus, and it’s great value for money.

The hotel’s breakfast was superb, with an incredible range of options and very fine ingredients. It was the most expensive hotel on our trip through Europe, but the quality of the accommodation and food made the price feel justified. It’s a new hotel, built to a high standard, with top quality fixtures and fittings throughout. A special mention for Niklas, who was friendly and efficient during our stay. After we left, a foolish member of our group realized he’d left his jacket and passport in the room. Niklas was extremely helpful with the arrangements and stayed well beyond his shift so our group could collect them a few hours after midnight. The photos show the views from the hotel.
