Getting around was easy, with trams just steps from the door, and there are a few shops nearby. The hotel is a little way from the center, but well connected. Breakfast was fresh, tasty, and had plenty of options. Our room was very clean, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a refrigerator. The strong smell of smoke was uncomfortable, so we had to leave the windows open almost constantly. That might be difficult in hot summer weather, though it was manageable for us in spring.

The bathroom bucket being used as a bin had used ear picks in it. There was a dangerous loose socket hanging by its wire outside the wall. Cleaning was very superficial: behind the desk I found hardened dirt that looked untouched for ages, as well as socks likely left by a previous guest. The mold smell was unbearable, and there were small roaches in the bathroom and behind the furniture.

I was with a group of six from SAIL, Rourkela for a training program at Voest Alpine, Linz Austria. The rooms were clean and nice, and warm in September. Seeing snowfall was a first for me.

It was the least expensive place in town, and breakfast was included, which was a nice bonus. The furniture felt a bit old, though.

The beds were comfortable, and everything seemed well maintained despite the building's older style. Shampoo and soap were provided, contrary to what some reviews say. Breakfast was really good and included in the price. Good value.
