It's a nice house, but its condition has slipped. The pool seems to have been out of use for years, as has everything else. The sole landlord no longer seems able to run a guesthouse.

I arrived to find out that the apartment I'd booked for myself had been overbooked and given to several people. I was left sharing a room and bathroom with strangers, and was only told once I got there, when it was too late to do anything about it. This was very unpleasant and completely unacceptable. You just don't treat guests this way.

Litschau is lovely for a walk, and it's nice to wind down with the host in the evening. This is a traditional family-run guesthouse with a refined feel, well suited to older couples looking for a quiet stay.

The service was fast and friendly, and I'd gladly eat here again. The food tastes very good and the menu is affordable. Some dishes could use a touch more seasoning, but it wasn't an issue.
