We arrived at 1 a.m. after telling the hotel, right when we booked through Booking, that we’d be coming in that late. They took three days to reply and said it would be “subject to availability.” At the door, nobody let us in. We called their numbers six times and got no answer. A large black dog was barking aggressively from inside, but apparently that didn’t wake the owners. We had to find somewhere else to stay in the middle of the night. They charged us for a stay we never got. Two weeks later, I’m still waiting for them to get in touch or apologize, and they haven’t replied to my Booking messages either.

By the fire, they even made me dinner after I arrived too late for the regular meal, and both dinner and breakfast were really good. I also had a sauna session in the morning. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I travel regularly for work and have stayed in hotels across more than 40 countries, but this little place felt genuinely special. I was smiling as soon as I walked into the building and then saw my room. It has such a unique feel, with lots of personal touches. A friend recommended it, and I’m glad I stayed. Anyone giving it less than five stars should just stay home, LOL.

The food was delicious, and the people were kind, funny, and helpful. They really add to the welcoming feel of the place. I loved the building and its atmosphere, especially the interior. I could imagine spending my whole life there. I’d recommend a visit, I’m sure you won’t regret it.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and honestly I liked the people even more than the really good food. I’ve never stayed somewhere this nice. It’d be lovely for a week’s holiday. I love the place, it’s AMAZING!

The bath with hop essence was such a lovely experience, and we feel relaxed and happy now. We had a day trip to Brodersdorf and really enjoyed it. The place looks stunning, and everyone was super friendly.
