The family thermal spa idea is great, and the accommodation for kids, playgrounds, and amenities for babies and children of all ages are a huge extra. But the price was far too high for the level of service, which was much too low. We paid almost 400 euros per NIGHT for one night and came away disappointed. Check-in was chaotic, the reception wasn't available at night, and although the staff seemed overwhelmed, they were nice. Our room wasn't clean, the towels were dirty, and I could hear hallway noise all night. The decor was dull, and I couldn't get a decent sleep. The advertised "all inclusive option" only covered a simple selection of drinks and soft drinks. Better quality options like juices and cocktails cost extra. Lunch and dinner were okay, nothing special, and for that price I expected more variety and quality. The Wi-Fi was spotty, a problem when you need to work. We raised our complaints with the hotel's general director and showed him the photos. He was shocked by what he saw and heard, and promised us a free stay next time. Since then, he hasn't replied to our emails. I felt I paid a premium for a mediocre stay. I won't return or recommend it. Save your money and look elsewhere.

The only downside for us was having no balcony where we could dry swimwear or relax in the evening. The rooms were comfortable, the food was delicious, and the aquapark was easy to get to. Everything here is geared towards children. Rooms have all the amenities for babies and toddlers, and there's a huge indoor play area with activities for kids big and small.

The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, and breakfast has good options. For best value, choose a room with the "all-in card" and breakfast only. Remember that the card also gives you a 50% discount at the great family park. It's a great option for families with toddlers and small children, especially since some rooms come with free direct access to the child-friendly Sonnentherme via the basement. There's lots to do, including a huge indoor play area, a ball-pit castle for smaller kids, and indoor and outdoor tennis courts.

The staff are very kind, and it's a super place to stay with children of any age. You can reach Sonnentherme directly from the hotel through an underground tunnel, which is very convenient. It's close to Hungary, and Neusiedler See isn't far either. Still sunny 😉
