Pension Saupper

We had a wonderful stay at the farm, with a double room, breakfast, and dinner. I highly recommend taking both meals. Everything is homemade, from the bread, jam, sausage, and butter to the fresh dinner the owner prepares each evening. You can let yourself be surprised by the regional dishes. I’ve never eaten better, and vegetarian meals are available too, just be sure to mention it in advance. It’s a family run farm where guests are welcomed like family. Staying overnight here is well worth it.

There are hiking trails all around, and the farm is a lovely place for families, with cows and ponies on the property. Our room had the basics, comfortable beds, and access to a clean shared bathroom and toilet. The food was a real highlight. Breakfast was beautifully laid out, with everything but the bread made at home. The family also serves homemade Alpine cheeses and meat specialties, and Mrs. Saupper can prepare tasty game dishes if you ask. The hosts welcomed us warmly at 1400 meters and clearly enjoy having people stay with them. It felt like much more than just a place to sleep, with a genuine Alpine atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Breakfast made with regional products was delicious. The Saupper family made us feel at home, and this is a fantastic guesthouse.

The guesthouse makes a handy base for hiking, and the farm is full of life, with cows, ponies, and pigs. It isn't certified organic, but the place is run with real care for animals and nature. The hosts take care of both the farm and guest rooms with professionalism and affection. Rooms are simple but tasteful and very clean. Each floor has a recently renovated shared bathroom and toilet, kept in immaculate condition. Food deserves a mention too: breakfast is generous, with lots made in-house, including bread, chutneys, jams, sausage, and cheese. Alpine specialties are served, and the hostess is known for her excellent game dishes.
