Apart Ursus Hinterthal

We had a lovely, relaxing stay in Hinterthal, and our dog settled in straight away. The dog bed was generously sized, there were two bowls, and he even got a welcome treat. The apartment was spacious, clean, and cozy, with wonderful mountain views. We didn't go without anything. In the mornings there was a bread delivery, or, if we preferred, a generous breakfast buffet to set us up for the day. We were welcomed so warmly by the Sparer family. We can really recommend Ursus Apart!

Winter hiking was fantastic, and the bus stop is close by. I spent a week at Sepp's Apartments, felt right at home, and have already booked Ursus again for summer. Daniela, the owner, is so welcoming and makes you feel at home. Self-catering worked perfectly for me, and I'd wholeheartedly recommend Ursus Apart.

The Hochkönig Card was a real highlight. You can use all the region's chairlifts and buses as often as you like for free, leaving more money for food and drinks at the many mountain huts. Dogs are welcome everywhere, too. The house is beautiful, with apartments furnished with care, and it has everything you need. The hostess is friendly and will quickly sort out anything that's missing. It's also very well placed for hikes and excursions.

Susi and I stayed for ten days from mid-June, and both of us loved it. She's a Springer Spaniel/Breton Spaniel mix who was eager to be outside all the time. Taking her on the chairlift or gondola was no problem, and the weekly dog pass was quite affordable. Our large room had a balcony looking out over the alpine meadows and mountains, a great place to relax. Everything was clean, the room cooled down nicely in the evenings, and all the kitchen appliances, including the refrigerator, worked. When Susi had her first intentional encounter with a cowpat, I was even given dog shampoo and a suitable brush. Dogs are truly welcome here, not just tolerated. Thanks again! The Urslau River is crystal clear and icy cold, and it's wonderfully cool by the water, a quick escape from the heat that's everywhere. There are countless hiking trails, easily reached by bus or car. Best wishes from Langenlois!
