Breakfast had a huge range of hot and cold options, and it was a nice touch to find our name on the table. The room itself was nice and had a balcony, but the hotel was so noisy and chaotic that we chose to eat elsewhere. As a family stay it may be fine, but anyone looking for peace and quiet should avoid it. The noise started as soon as we arrived. Kids were running around the reception lobby with no parents in sight, and later they ran up and down the corridor, knocking on our door and trying the handle. The host greeted us, but didn’t understand English; she handed over the keys and pointed to the lift without explaining the facilities. I expected to find an information leaflet about the amenities or area in the room, but there wasn’t one. Our balcony looked onto the street and a bar opposite, where loud music started around 3pm every afternoon. It came through even with the windows and doors shut, so having a nap before going out in the evening wasn’t easy. There was no tea or coffee setup, so I asked for a kettle, but didn’t end up using it because the coffee provided was filtered, not instant. We brought our own toiletries and noticed there was no complimentary shower gel or shampoo. After an evening out, the bar was empty and we had to look for someone to get a drink.
