The ski lift is 100m away, and there's a ski school too. The check-in staff, the dinner team, and the breakfast staff on another day were friendly. At breakfast, though, the blond lady seemed to pick and choose whom she'd help, and we were ignored. She didn't ask whether we wanted coffee or tea, or pancakes. The buffet could also be arranged better, all in one room instead of split across different rooms and tables.

We really enjoyed our stay as a family. After an intense day skiing, it was great to have a cozy bar, excellent spa and wonderful restaurant to come back to. The cuisine was high quality, and the Italian chef was truly amazing. We had breakfast and dinner included. It's a charming, intimate boutique hotel, chic but with a welcoming atmosphere, and an easy walk to the slopes and ski lift. The ownership had recently changed, so the new owner and staff were still settling in. They made up for that with extra attention and promptly resolved any small issues. We were very satisfied with the whole package.

The spa was outstanding, and dining was a pleasure, with delicious choices at both breakfast and dinner and impeccable service. The elegant room had stunning views, and the whole stay balanced luxury with the warm, inviting feel of a chalet. I had a couples' weekend in the mountains at Wachtelhof, and it exceeded every expectation. It's close to the slopes, with a genuinely friendly, welcoming atmosphere that made it an ideal retreat. I already look forward to going back!

The decor has a lot of charm, and we enjoyed the company of the lovely people at the next table, who felt the same way we did. But the food and service both disappointed, especially for the prices. We also found out quail is no longer on the new owner's menu, so the website and menu information are out of date. The visit didn't leave much of an impression.
