We dropped in at this restaurant on the spur of the moment and had a great time. The food was excellent, the staff attentive, and the romantic view of the Danube was just right. We enjoyed every minute.

The meal at the Rose Hotel restaurant made my day. The service was excellent, the view fantastic, and the food outstanding. I'm a 78-year-old Canadian riding my bike through Europe, and the receptionist saw me looking a bit lost outside the hotel. She came out to help me get organized, so this was my way of returning her kindness. I'd highly recommend the Rose restaurant to anyone visiting the area. Thanks again, Grandpa on his bike.

The food was tasty, and things started off well. The atmosphere was great, and our order came quickly. Then the apricot dumplings with ice cream took 50 minutes. There were two large groups, but plenty of staff, and those groups hadn't arrived after I ordered. I asked several times and was about ready to cancel when the dessert finally came. It tasted good, but not worth €7.20 or that wait. Such a shame!

The location was excellent, the food very good, and the mattress really comfortable. Staff were very friendly, especially the waiters who took our orders. Still, this felt more like a good 1-2 star hotel to me than a 4-star one. Water prices are exorbitant, and that's one reason I gave it only 2 stars. The other is that it didn't meet 4-star standards. There's no uniformed staff, reception is rarely staffed, there's no minibar or bottled water in the room, and no cotton swabs or similar items.

The autumn colors over the Danube Valley made a lovely finishing touch. The food came quickly, looked beautiful, and tasted excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive too. Highly recommended for groups of any size.
