Haus-Iris-Mauerbach

We found plenty of pleasant walking and hiking routes nearby, including for our small dog. The apartment itself was clean, cared for, and had its own garden, so it was easy to feel at home. We stayed at Haus Iris in Mauerbach for a Vienna trip. We were greeted warmly and given a folder with useful local information, including excursions and bus and subway connections into Vienna. It also pointed out that everything was within walking distance. The location is fantastic. Highly recommended!

Our two dogs were relaxed from day one, and the entrance area had water bowls, dirty towels, and poop bags ready. There's a fenced garden of their own and lovely forest paths nearby. Just note there are a few steps between the entrance and the main living area, in case your dogs are older or especially boisterous. It wasn't an issue for ours. Parking is in the carport. The apartment was a great base near Vienna, very clean, cozy, and stocked with what we needed. The beds were heavenly, and I had less back pain than at home. The landlady was friendly and helpful, with a detailed folder about the area. There's an Italian restaurant about a five-minute walk away that we really recommend, and the bus stop is around the same distance. Vienna is under 20 minutes away by car. We loved this short break and would book again for another Vienna trip. Definitely recommend it to people visiting Vienna with dogs.

The landlady was so kind and helpful, and the fully furnished apartment really had everything thought through. We had a lovely week at Haus Iris with our two dogs and would be happy to return.

We'd gladly come back. The garden is lovely for relaxing, with walking trails close by, and it's fenced for dogs. Inside, everything was very clean and the kitchen had plenty of equipment. Public transport to Vienna was convenient, and the landlady was very nice.
