Haus Simona

I’ve stayed at Haus Simona in winter, summer, and autumn, and the apartments have always been cozy, modern, and beautifully clean. The kitchenettes are fully equipped, with a dishwasher and both capsule and filter coffee machines. There’s good gear for winter too, including a ski boot drying room and ski rack. In summer you can use the garden seating and children’s activities, and one apartment has a terrace looking out over the surrounding hills. There are lockable bike lockers, and you can rent paddleboards. The owners are lovely and happy to suggest things to do nearby, whether you want something challenging or an easier outing suitable for older people or small children.

Haus Simona is in a peaceful spot with plenty of privacy, but the lake and cable car are still just a few minutes’ walk away. There’s lots to see in the beautiful surroundings, with hiking routes for both experienced hikers and casual walkers. Our apartment was nicely furnished and clean, with a fully equipped kitchen and its own bathroom. Parking at the house was more than enough, and we got the Wifi password as soon as we arrived. The hosts were very nice and glad to suggest places to visit. It’s excellent accommodation at a reasonable price. We definitely recommend coming here, and you won’t be disappointed if you stay at Haus Simona :)

Cross-country ski trails start just behind the house, and a larger ski area is about a 15-minute drive away. The building is in a quiet neighborhood, with private parking right out front. You can walk to the center for services or to the swimming pool, around 2.5 km away. The accommodation is very well equipped and tastefully furnished, with a ski room and a bathroom with toilet in every room. The kitchen has what you need to cook dinner and store food, plus two coffee makers. The owners are helpful, give good advice about where to go and what to avoid, and will accommodate requests. I recommend staying here in either winter or summer.

There’s plenty to do outdoors, from well-groomed cross-country ski trails about 200 m away to nearby ski lifts and trips for ski mountaineers and hikers. We also went to the local aquapark with its sauna complex, Atol, and found it wonderfully relaxing. The modern apartments are in a quiet neighborhood, with a magical view of the snowy hills and Lake Achensee about 1 km away. A beautiful spot for a winter or summer holiday.
