Obertauern is only a couple of minutes away, and the place is tidy. The food is plain, but there's plenty of it. The problem is the hot water and electricity. The systems often can't meet guests' needs, and quite often they fail. I'd only come here if everywhere else was fully booked, or if you're especially fond of clumsy, 80s-style tourism.

We stayed here for a couple of days with my children, and I recommend it to everyone. The staff are friendly, and dinner is delicious :)

The rooms were full of dust, and the beds were very bad. They don't speak any language except Hungarian.

The accommodation does the job, and there are at least 4 major ski resorts nearby. The Sibusz stops 30m from the guesthouse. In 2026, the cuisine was impeccable and the dinners delicious.

The ski bus stops a few meters from the pension, and it's about 4 minutes to the ski area. There's a sauna and gym, and you can book breakfast or half board. It's basic, but fine for a night's sleep. The place is run by Hungarians, whose German and English are poor 😉
