We often travel from central Poland to Italy for skiing in Dolomiti, and Melk is about halfway for us. This family-owned place is a lovely stop for a night or two, with a smiling owner and spacious, cozy rooms that are clean and have comfortable beds. Breakfast is included, with a nice selection of typical, tasty food. Melk itself is a pleasant half-hour walk through the city. I’d recommend it to anyone needing a rest on the way.

We booked only half an hour before arriving and got a reply incredibly fast, then a genuinely warm welcome. The host is so hospitable, and you can tell the guesthouse is cared for with heart and soul. The room looked less appealing in the photos, but in person it was charming, beautifully decorated, and cozy. I hadn’t sat in a rocking chair in ages, and there was one here! Breakfast was delicious, with everything you could want for a tasty, healthy start. I hardly ever write in guestbooks, but I did this time because I liked the place so much. I wholeheartedly recommend it! ❤️

Pension Marillenhof was a perfect overnight stop on our trip through austria. It’s close to the highway, with convenient street parking, and we rested well before continuing our journey. Breakfast was nice too. Thank you very much!

The location is good, and the room is spacious and nice. The bathroom needs renovation: the shower door almost fell out of the cabin, and the shower head is very old. Wi-Fi didn’t reach our room at all. The only place I could get a weak signal was the toilet.

The owner was very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. Every product felt distinctive, and I think they source them from local places. We had problems with the bathroom door and shower door, and there were ants on the floor. I think these issues can be solved with understanding. Thanks to the owner for everything.
