Gästehaus Lutz

Bring snow chains in winter, since the apartment is up a slope and chains are required when it’s icy or snowy. Once there, we found a spacious, very clean place with a cozy feel. The second bedroom is off the hallway, which wasn’t a problem, and there’s another shower there too. Breakfast is well provided if you choose it, and sharing the living room with the owner makes it feel homier. We’d come back.

Mr. and Mrs. Lutz made us feel at home with their welcoming, helpful manner. We had a wonderful week in Mellau with our children, aged three and five, and would happily return. The apartment was clean and in excellent shape, with everything we needed, right down to a hairdryer and toaster. The breakfast buffet was extensive, too.

Haus Lutz is a modern, welcoming holiday apartment in the beautiful Bregenzerwald. I’ve been coming to Mellau with my family for ten years, in both summer and winter, and we always enjoy our time here. It’s peaceful, with lovely mountain scenery all around. In winter, sledging is great fun, and the expanded ski area linking Mellau and Damüls is excellent. Summer has plenty to offer as well. With the Bregenzerwald Card, you can ride a different lift each day for free and explore another mountain. The best part of the house is the hosts, Margit and Kurt Lutz. We’re a family of four, and this is our second winter holiday with Margit and Kurt Lutz. Their warm, family-like hospitality means there’s always a kind word or a useful tip. The modern, tastefully furnished apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it suits a family well. The kitchen is fully equipped, dishwasher included. Thanks for everything. We’re already looking forward to seeing you next winter, 2016/2017!
