Panorama Chalets Paß Thurn

The location is ideal for a ski holiday, which makes the state of Panorama Chalet Apartment 5 such a shame. It felt like a shared flat for 18-year-olds: worn out, stained everywhere, and hairs in the drawers. It either hadn't been cleaned or had only been given a very quick once-over. The living room lamp had no bulb, the shelves under the bathroom mirror and in the wardrobe were crooked, and the dishwasher smelled because its filter hadn't been cleaned. For 4-6 people there are two beds and a pull-out couch, but one bed is only 160 cm wide and the other 140 cm or less. The kitchen was disgusting to cook in, with no matching pair of glasses. You wouldn't need to buy grease or oil if you ran out, you could wipe some off the extractor. The shower head wouldn't stay fixed, and there wasn't enough hot water for a second shower. Spending a week's vacation here felt like a disaster. The cleaning staff seemed incompetent, and the owner clearly didn't care about the apartment's quality or the guests, just the profit.

The apartment is spacious and nice, but the chairs wobble, the curtains are torn, and there's hardly any kitchen equipment. The towels are old and thin, too. And the receptionist isn't as pretty as she looks in her letters!

The Kirzbühel Alps were impressive all around us, with magnificent views as we hiked uphill from Hotel Passthurn. We went through mountain forest and across the alpine meadows.
