Ferienhaus Piz Lad

The apartments are nice and spacious, but we felt very unwelcome because of how the owner treated us. We booked an apartment for 10 people and had initially thought five adults would stay. We agreed on a fixed price for six adults, and six of us arrived, as paid for. Since there was room, another friend joined us midweek. A day before checkout, the owner turned up without warning, accused us of fraud, and charged us an extra 500 EUR for two additional adults. We felt we were constantly being watched to see who was there, coming, or going. There seemed to be no trust in the guests, and it felt like she was looking for reasons to charge us more. We found this behavior unprofessional and dishonest, and unfortunately won't recommend the place. Very sad.

The owners are extremely friendly and really go out of their way for guests. The facilities are top notch, the location is great, and the sauna is beautiful. I'd recommend it 100%.

We felt right at home during our eight wonderful days at Haus Piz Lad in February 2026. The host family was warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout. Our room was spotless and tastefully furnished, with a lovely view of the village and surrounding mountains. The breakfast buffet was generous and fantastic. We'd love to return, and highly recommend this place.

We felt very comfortable here despite the things that bothered us. The apartment was spotless, with a beautiful bathroom and walk-in rain shower. The kitchen had all the dishes, cutlery, dish soap, and baking paper we needed, along with a Nespresso machine and kettle. The sofa was comfortable, the seating area cozy, and the decor throughout was attractive. The bed had been made up with duvets shaped like soft, fluffy hearts. There were large TVs in both the bedroom and living area. Bergdohle is at the upper edge of Nauders, in a very quiet spot, and the apartment seemed well soundproofed. We didn't hear the other guests. We had the ground-floor Bergdohle apartment, though, and wouldn't recommend it for a relaxing holiday, even though it worked for what we needed. The big panoramic window in the living room looked straight onto the parking lot, with gravel and paving stones, some already crumbling. A concrete wall about a meter high surrounded it, brightly lit until around 10 p.m. The electric car charger was right in front of the window, and unfortunately a huge delivery van was parked there the whole time. We couldn't see the parking lot itself, but we could certainly see the van. We struggled to find parking the first evening. All the spaces were taken, and we had to squeeze diagonally between two cars. With anything larger than our Fiesta, we'd have been in a real bind. Motion lights around the house, including one right above the bedroom window, kept switching on and off and woke us at 6:30 a.m. despite the curtains being closed. The same lights kept coming on while we sat on the terrace in the evening, so we tried not to move to keep them off. The terrace decking was rough enough that we'd recommend wearing shoes, and the view from there was either the parking lot or the neighboring house. The only mountain view from this apartment was off to the side through the bedroom window. The bedroom furniture was MALM from Ikea, which felt out of place with the rest of the apartment's high-quality furnishings. The mattress was very hard. There was just one Nespresso capsule by the machine, though there should have been two for two guests. And the trampoline right by the entrance didn't look right in front of such a stylish house. We mean these points as constructive criticism.
