Appartement Draublick

There’s plenty of room here, with two bedrooms plus a kitchen and dining room. I also appreciated the Saeco coffee machine, the mineral water, cleaning supplies, kitchen utensils and canned goods. For families, having a washing machine and detergent was handy too. The bigger issue was the noise. The apartment is upstairs in a two-family house, and the downstairs flat is occupied all year. Our bedroom windows face the street and don’t block much sound. The neighbors didn’t greet us, and often played loud music from around 5:45 a.m., then again between about 8 and 10 p.m. After it happened at 5:45 for the third time in a row, I politely asked the downstairs woman to turn it down. She was rude and refused, saying the music wasn’t loud and that we could hear it because the floor between us was thin. She didn’t answer my knock, but opened the door when I rang the bell. I heard afterward that people in the neighborhood know she can make things uncomfortable for guests. When I told the landlord after our stay, he advised me to call the police. He seemed to be hearing about the problem for the first time, which I found hard to believe. The Drava River is very close, but you can’t see it from the apartment, despite the name “Apartment Drava View.” If you’re an early riser and tend to stay out late on vacation, this place might suit you.
